A British/Australian director/writer who currently resides in London and Los Angeles, Catherine’s career has spanned scripted, unscripted and artist film. Her work has screened at Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying festivals (BFI Flare, Cork International, New Orleans International, Rushes Soho Shorts, St Louis International), San Diego Comic-Con, the Victoria & Albert Museum and the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts) in London. Two of her films have been selected for the BFI National Archive. She’s won awards from sources as diverse as BFI/BAFTA and Gorezone Horror Magazine (presented by HELLRAISER’s Doug Bradley).

In her work, Catherine explores the extremes of human endeavor. She draws from true stories and historical events, particularly those with a macabre sense of irony. She frequently works with choreography and underwater cinematography, and has a passion for landscape film and folk horror.

Catherine holds an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute and Summa Cum Laude degrees in Film & TV Production as well as English & Fine Arts and is a Fulbright Scholar. She has been supported by BAFTA LA BUNAC, BBFC, Screenskills, and Film London. She is a member of BAFTA (Connect) and Directors UK, and is a judge for many film festivals and scholarships.
